I know I have been at this a while but after visiting the doctor and falling off of plan due to illness I feel as if this is day one all over again.
Since my start on July 11, 2013 I have lost 35lbs. Since my first appointment when I was diagnosed with now diagnosable pre diabetes I have been able to bring my sugar levels down 6points. (its a start in the right direction). I have a long road to travel.
Since getting the flu bug last week I have missed 5 days in a row of no exercise.
I must drag myself back to the gym tonight. Doctor mandated 30 days of sweat producing exercise daily.
Also recommended the DASH diet. Dash stands for Dietary Approaches to stop Hypertension. (ie high blood pressure) I wonder if anyone here on fitclick has tried this one or if there is any info or plans. Reading thru the dr. notes it seems daunting expecially for someone who eats on the go.
I have noticed just posting what I want to eat I take in alot of sodium (and I dont even put salt on anything) its amazing how much prepared foods have in them alone.
