Alternative Workout

So I blew out my heel running last Friday, and spent the weekend with it iced and elevated. It feels better now, but I know if I just head out and start running right away I'll only injure it worse. So..... weight training it is. I have to say - I'm not a fan. I know the benefits are great - you burn more calories working out and at rest than you do with a cardio exercise. I just don't enjoy it nearly as much as a good run.
So I'm looking for some feedback from all of you gym rats ut there. Give me a few suggestons for exercises that tone the uppe body - especially the arms (triceps).
