Everyone who knows the fact about the illness tries to help him and make his life better. Thus, the last days of Robert De Niro hero become much more successful than before. He becomes happier surrounded by care of the people around him. In such a way, the main hero who is a friend of Robert De Niro acquires a feeling of fulfilment due to accomplishing his duty. He made a life of his dying friend happier, and this fact brings more sense to his life. This story is a great example for everybody who faces similar circumstances or tries to determine his/her life priorities.

Undoubtedly, he could not save his friend from death. However, the main character gave an ultimate present to his friend. He enabled him to feel the real life and happiness. The last days of Robert De Niro’s character were made much brighter than those he had seen before. The main hero of the film opened the secret of a mortal decease of Robert De Niro’s character. Probably, somebody condemn people who do not keep the secrets of others. However, breaking a habitual rule sometimes leads to positive consequences in this film. It is not always easy to say what is good and what is bad fo other people in different circumstances. Sometimes, the knowledge about death can bring the brightest days of life for those who reflect on such uneasy things.
“Bang the Drum Slowly” made me think what I would do if I were in the place of the main hero. I perfectly agree with his choice, and I would do just the same things in equal circumstances. I was very inspired by this film depicting what real friendship can be. Besides, it is very important that a film outlines a story of ordinary people. It is not a fairy tale embellishing the truth. “Bang the Drum Slowly” shows different emotions, and each of them looks very real. Thus, it is not hard to believe that such a story could occur in reality. It made me consider my own priorities in life. I think it to be a unique movie. It would be great if everyone could watch it. Unaccustomed circumstances always extend the habitual borders of every person. Thus, in order to continue developing, one needs to face something new time after time.
