How I stay motivated
I'm lucky that I was raised in a very competitive atmosphere because it really helps me stay motivated. Everyday I wake up I wanna do better than the day before, if I set a personal record the day before working out I try harder to beat it and I find I beat it pretty often and when I don't that motivates me even harder to do better. So my advice for anyone who reads this looking for motivation tips is to
1. Compete against yourself don't just try to beat your goals try and shatter them, do better today than you did yesterday and do better tomorrow than you do today. By doing this you'll find out your working harder and once you get in the habit of competing against yourself you'll find it harder to quit and to give up on anything.
2. Compete against a friend or spouse. Set daily and weekly goals for each other and hold competitions against each other with rewards such as the loser buys dinner or cooks dinner or cleans the house or what ever you can think of that will motivate y'all to do your best to beat the other, because then your both working out really hard and if you lose you'll workout harder to win next time and if you win and you took my first piece of advice to heart as well you'll workout harder to keep your streak going.

How did you find your way to this website?
I tend not to be outwardly competitive. I would have expired in your household. Maybe you should give yourself (and those around you) a break? I think moderation and consistency is the key for many of us.
In any case, best regards and thanks for sharing.
