I started resistance training last November (2010). I can see some gains--my shoulders and biceps look better--but the muscle just hasn't been growing like I would like, and I hadn't gained a pound. So I started bumping up the calories. I found this really hard after so many months of keeping calores consumed either balanced or at a slight deficit with calories burned. Abby had a soccer game at 6 last night, so I wasn't able to hook up with the Post 'n Pint group ride. Drove out to Post Canyon to save some time...but have to admit that I was also not wanting to battle the steady hard wind on the ride out.
I unloaded the bike a bit after 5 and headed up the road, skipping the lower post trails. I just felt like a steady burn for a warm-up.
