today's the day

I was so busy yesterday working from my car and traveling all over so I didn't have time to eat properly.  I had to go to a drive thru and get a burger.  Then we took the kids to a hotel for the weekend to get away and we had dinner late.  I was careful to get a good dinner (tuna) and salad.  I did my best to estimate what the dressing was and the amount.  I will be better today.  I also see they have a gym and did the eliptical for 20 min.  I am going to hit the gym again today but for a longer period of time.  My daughter that just turned 13 is going to be getting a gym membership and wants to start working out with me so that will be great for both of us.  I am hoping my older daughter will follow suit.  My oldest daughter already goes to the gym on a regular basis and my son is very active.  Now that he sees all his sisters have a gym membership he wants one as well but has to wait until he is 12 in July (they won't let him have one before then).  I am excited about the kids enthusiasm and they are on board to make smarter choices about eating.  I did tell them they can still eat other things but we have to do it in moderation.  I think slowly but surely we can change this family around.  I am going to have mixed fruit for breakfast.
