I have been doing the same workout video for hmmm.... 3 weeks now. Yup, that's 6 days/week. Within the workout, I'm doing different movements however, I also know that your body can find it's "comfort zone" with the workout where it doesn't feel like it has to work as hard to do the same movements. I can sense this in the fact that this workout
does feel like it's getting easier which means I might be getting close to that comfort zone. To keep myself from reaching that comfort zone, I need to
shake things up. So I'm now going to do this dvd workout every other day and do some STEP cardio on the off days. I have also bought some weights to wear on my ankles and wrists to make my muscles in my legs and arms work harder on the comfy video so it won't be so "comfy" any more. Today was the first day wearing the weights and I could definitely tell the level of difficulty was raised. I DID have to work harder. I'm hoping this will reflect in my next weigh-in. Even if it's not a lot of weight, I'm hoping to
count on a loss rather than
wonder if I've lost. (Yes, there is a difference in that distintion!!) Every day I work at managing all my numbers trying to get in the "green" as well as following the advise of my dietician and maintain a constant caloric intake. Every day I learn something new and every day I make adjustments to
get it right. That is the bottom line here. Since this is now going to be a way of life, I have not put any time frame around my goal. I reach it when I reach it. At that point, I'll change again to maintain. I am amazed at myself that I have my mind wrapped around all of this like I do for any other time I would never have lasted this long. I am determined to make this work. If I slip, I will accept it and move on. I am determined to keep moving forward and not look back.
