The Body Resists

I started with a weigh-in of 217 which was not too bad because my bod for a number of years always wanted to sort of naturally settle around 220 / 225, or so it seemed.  And the goal was, and still is to break 200.  I've set 190 as the goal, but maintaining anything under 200 will equal success in my book.

And to think we were nearly 270 when I said, "Sh-- !  I've got to lose some weight before I kick the bucket.  That was about a year ago and I was determined to lose very slowly.  I figured it didn't come on in 6 weeks so a six week wonder diet wasn't going to do the trick.  I decided to make some small changes in my eating habits, (being aware of what I was eating and how much), and hope to slowly lose about a pound a week.  Seemed I had some sucess now being in the 220 area code.

So yesterday was my bi-weekly weigh-in day and the body won !  Back to 220.  Well maybe the body didn't totally win all by itself.  I succumbed to one more semi-final series in the Stanley Cup and took in a 'few' extra beer.  So now I'm paying for that indescetion but the positive thing is I have learned the weight effects of beer, (and chicken wings), and can take some comfort in knowing, or expecting to be back to the 217 or so at my next weigh-in.  The beer will fade away and I'll shrink.

And just when I thought I was moving in on changing my jean size down once more.!  With perseverance, and more attention, I'll get there.  This Fitclick program is really focusing me in on what I am eating and how much.
Continuous learning is a good thing !
