Backslide

Started out good last week. I was keeping track of food and exercising. Then I went up to my brother's in Hillsboro for the weekend with my nephew. It was so good to get away. I didn't eat horribly until I was on the way back down home. I stopped in Central Point and had Sonic. When I got home I had ice cream. I started better on the food again that Monday. I wasn't really into the exercise. No excuse other than I didn't feel like it and with the way work had been going, I was just mentally and physically exhausted.
The work thing has been a big hinderance. I am required to stand for 8 hours in basically one spot. By the end of the night my feet are killing me. Just in the last day or two of work, my left ankle has been giving me sharp pains right in the joint. It almost feels like bone is grinding on bone. I know my weight has a lot to do with how my feet and joints feel. The lack of motion is another contributing factor I'm sure.
Emotionally, work has been hard. The new procedures in place are making employees, me included, feel like we don't matter. Almost like we are not a valued member of the team. We are not welcome in places other than our designated spots. It's not an enjoyable feeling and I have given in to comfort eating a bit this past week. My vice of choice has been California Pizza Kitchen's Cheeseburger pizza (2 of them) and a large Stouffers Mac n Cheese. All within 4 days.
I will say though that I am proud of the fact that I have pretty much laid off the candy bars at work. I only had 2 this week and I don't think I had any at work last week. At least I can't remember if I had any. Yes, I am still having 1 or 2 cookies on the days we have cookies, but otherwise, that's pretty much it for the junk food. I don't miss it as much as I thought I would. I think because if I have too much chocolate/sugar it makes me a little sick to my stomach and I get mad diarrhea. That's a hell of a deterrant. Very effective.
