This decade is going to be the one! I've set a realistic goal to be healthy and I'm sticking to it. At 215, I'm the heaviest I've been in my life. I'm a nurse and I feel like I've just been hiding behind my scrubs. I want to feel good with my scrubs on and without. I know this journey will be tough. There are going to be a lot of temptations and nay-sayers out there but I am bound and determined to stick to it. Starting Monday January 3 (I know that New Year's resolutions typically start on January 1 but it's easier to just start on Monday so go with me here) I'm going to start eating breakfast and not just a heavy lunch with whatever I can get my hands on when I get home for dinner. I'm going to sign up for a 5K and use it as motivation (who wouldn't feel bad if they signed up for a run that benefits a good cause and then bailed because they didn't get up off their fat butt to run?) I will drink more water- it's no fun to be dehydrated, plus, my skin will look better, right? Here's where it all begins. Here is where I change my life for the better!
