I am glad that I found this site. Typing is so much easier than writing. I've always wanted to have a food journal to track what I eat and this site makes it soooooooo much easier to not only track what I eat but to, IMO, estimate how many calories I'm ingesting. It makes me take ownership with what I'm putting into my body. It works both ways though, there are some days I don't get enough caloric intake and some days I go just a wee bit over

Day 2 of my new life (not going to call it a "diet" because it just makes me not like it any more than I do right now .) I am more aware of what I am eating and make more concious decisions of what to snack on. I drink a small glass of water before/after I eat a snack to fill my belly up and I don't reach for the chocolate dipped preztels or oreo pie that's lurking ...

This decade is going to be the one! I've set a realistic goal to be healthy and I'm sticking to it. At 215, I'm the heaviest I've been in my life. I'm a nurse and I feel like I've just been hiding behind my scrubs. I want to feel good with my scrubs on and without. I know this journey will be tough.
