Week two

Ok, so here we are at the end of week two and my total weight loss to this point is about twelve pounds. Sine starting this journey I have only missed two days of workouts (which occured while I was sick) so that makes me very proud of myself! I have been shaking it up a bit with my exercise routine, and I even tried zumba today, which was super awkward, but fun. I am currently in first place with the biggest loser contest at work, with just under 5% of my weight lost. I was really worried about the competitition this year, because each of us have very different workout preferences. Jen is using her WII fit to slim down while Elise has a gym membership. All I have is my own little home gym and a bit of creativity, so I wondered if I would get burned out on exericise the first. I just keep plugging ahead, though, and trying something new each week or so which seems to be working so far. Yesterday we went out to eat for the first time since starting this journey, and it was really tough to try and guess at what I would be eating. Even the items marked "healthy" only promised to be under 750 calories! I ended up just over my daily calorie allowance though, and since that is the first overage I have had since day one, I guess I can give myself a break. I made sure to stock up on lots of healthy food when we went grocery shopping last night.
