Lent 2011

So, Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. This year I really want to try to follow it. I really want to try not to eat meat on Friday, and if I do I'll avoid it on another day in respect for not doing it. I normally don't eat a lot of soda or candy anymore, so I am not giving up anything this Lent. Instead, I was going to make the goal of doing crunches and push-ups everyday. To respect that, I was at Target and saw the 30 day Shred by Jillian Michaels on sale. My boyfriend told me he's going to get me that and two 3 pound weights. I know Lent is 40 days, but it's a good start to do the 30 day shred for 40 days. It says you can lose up to 20 pounds in 30 days, obviously you lose more the better you eat. I want to do this. I really want to kickstart this weight loss and get everything off.
I turn 22 in about 9 days. I really want to lose all this weight by my 23rd birthday and college graduation. I figure if I get started now, I'll probably hit a plateau around summer, which is when I'm taking an accounting course, and hopefully an individual swim 4 times a week with a circuit training 2 nights a week. I'm serious about this and I want people to see it too!
