Pushing It

I thought I would add a 1/4 mile with a slight incline to my brisk walk this morning. What a difference. It really made it almost difficult to finish the walk. (Only my 3rd walk since starting). Having been in such poor health for so many years. I just kept telling myself, "You can do this girl, just keep pushing it!" I focused on keeping my breathing normal. In through my nose, out through my mouth. I was experiencing some pretty bad burning pain in my lower back. Legs, knee's and feet feel great. I made myself complete the walk.
When I came inside I didn't want to sit down right away, so I did some light stretching and 100 reps with a 2.5 lb Shake Weight.
I took my blood pressure with an Ormon BP Machine. My BP was 224/111 and pulse was 125 bpm.
I am having my 2nd spinal procedure (Cervical) this Wednesday, which stinks because I will have to take a break right after getting this exercise program started. :(
I had my 1st procedure last Wednesday (9/21/11) on my Lower Lumbar and crazy me started walking the next day.
I am the heaviest I've ever been in my life due to ongoing health problems, tons of medications, spine surgery, chronic pain and fatigue, and more. I've had to live a very sedentary lifestyle for many years. I must admit, I have been pretty depressed about it. I have a long and complicated medical history with a diagnosis of a rare vascular disease, Grave's Disease, Asthma, etc. I have a long way to go, but I just have to keep telling myself I can do this and I can weigh 140 lbs again, I just have to WANT IT! :)
