A Few Weeks Later.....

Okay so have been fairly busy with work and things so haven't been on in a few weeks but I have kept up with my workout routine for the most part. I was sick last week so Saturday and Sunday I did nothing and believe me did I ever pay for it!! Starting back up on Monday was horrible but made me feel like I was getting back in the game. Over the weekend my wonderful husband started in on myself and my workout partner about how EASY working out was and that he didn't know why we were whining so much all the time ( now you have to understand my husband was not saying this because he believed it he just wanted to get under our skin because...well that's just how he is) so we made a deal with him, if he could get through one of our workouts without crying about it he got something ( I don't remember what it is right now ) and if he didn't do it than he had to work out with us for 2 weeks straight without the whining. Well Tuesday was the big day - he didn't last - he tried - but he didn't last. When we asked him what he had to say now he said and I quote " Okay.......okay......I give up.......you win.......it's not easy......" The high intensity of our cardio workout is usually about 15 minutes (then we walk on the treadmill or hit the eliptical for the 30 min) my hubby made it to maybe and I do mean maybe the 7 minute mark and I assure you it was not pretty - histarical but not pretty.

So we have some not so great news....one of our  workout partners has appeared to drop out :-( She worked out with us for the first week and never came back - it's a little sad to me because I know she wanted to do this - but I cannot force anyone to continue it has to be her choice. I am glad however that my good friend aka my wife is still in the trenches with me - yesterday we came up with out own weights workout - taking parts from the one we do now and adding in some other ones it was very intense for the inner thigh I could not walk, sit or stand without feeling a protest from the associated areas!!! This morning I don't feel it as much but as the day goes on and I must use more and more of my lower body I am sure I will be curing my wife just as I am sure she will be cursing me. Never thought I would look forward to a cardio day as much as I am right now!!!!

Until next time.......
