Here We Go Again

Well, after a 3 week hiatus I'm back at it. I got a really bad cold and laryngitis that kept me from doing anything, much less run. I feel better now, but still not completely over it all. Hopefully soon I will get rid of all this gunk. Anyway, this through the whole schedule off! Luckily I still have time to train. I wasn't able to run in the 10K we registered for though, :( so I've signed up for a 15K a little closer to home; the Bold in the Cold Run in Grapevine on January 7, so that's something to build up to. It's going to be a little over 8 miles, so I have my work cut out for me. I went for my first run yesterday since I've been sick, 3 miles. It was nice to get back to it, even if the weather was really uncooperative. It was cold and rainy and windy. I made it all the way though, my time was less than impressive and I had to walk some. That's ok though considering I'm still having respiratory issues. It was good to get back to it. And it really wasn't as taxing as I was afraid it might be. So yay!
