I have worked out off and on almost all of my life, been pretty active in sports, training,etc. I have noticed that I have never really gotten where I wanted, or bulked up too much. I follow a metabolic training program with high rep/lower weight/minimal down time.
What I didn't realize was that my body would get used to it and stagnate. Recently a trainer asked me to try TRX, saying it would challenge my body with something new. For those of you who don't know TRX is a suspension training that uses your own body weight as the equipment. It is alot of fun and usually taught in a class. You can purchase the training equipment for a at home TRX work out and usually can get everything you need to get started for aroun $200.
Me personally I would prefer to try it before I buy it and as I have a gym that trains it --- It works out well. So Thursday was my first TRX class..... It was awesome and fun.... HOWEVER .....
She was not joking about the change in my routine. I don't think I have EVER hurt this bad in places I NEVER knew in all my training experience could possibly exsist. I am going back tonight because I am convinced that there is noway that I can work these muscles out with any other workout! Doesn't hurt that it is fun! Wish me Luck!
