Where to start...
This is day 1 of my new attempt at weight loss.
In 2010 I managed to lose 96 pounds and i manged to keep it off for more than 2 years.
The reasons are numerous, there are excuses for everything, but the main reason, is I got lazy. I stopped counting my calories, i stopped working out, and now I am right back to where I was in 2010 when I first started. I have to keep reminding myself that there will always be an excuse to cheat, its so easy to cheat, just do it, work out and eat healthy!
To start things off on the right track, I decided to write a blog to remind myself how much I will have invested and to remember why it is so importatnt that I keep calory counting and keep track of my workouts.
The things that worked the first time I lost weight:
-
Calorie counting on FitClick daily (planning meals ahead)
-
Weighing myself daily on Wii Fit (Graphic display is motivation)
-
Enetring my weigh weekly on FitClick
-
Workout buddy
-
Gym membership
-
Bring food on work trips (travel 1 week a month)
-
Good pair of running shoes
-
Running, I love running
-
Skiing
-
Snowshoeing
-
Kayaking
-
Hiking
-
One cheat day a week (Friday)
The biggest difference from 2010 is I now live in a different City. Where i lived in 2010, there were three GoodLife gyms within 3 km, I could pick and choose group classes to fit my schedule easily. Now where I live, I have to drive at least 15 minutes to get to a gym, I need to come up with home workouts and invest in some home equipement.
Any recommendations on what equipement is best for home workouts would be greatly appreciated.
