What a day to begin a diet but I got on the scale today and was hit with reality. I wasn't cooking turkey anyway...I was making poppy seed chicken so I simply made myself baked skinless, boneless chicken breasts, broccoli, scalloped potatoes and ate one 1/2 deviled egg. I actually didn't eat all my calories today and I can't imagine forcing more calories on myself this late so I'm going to bed completely satisfied and happy with this first successful day. I was hoping to make some support buddies here but so far....I'm just hearing crickets. Strange place. I do like the diet log, that's what I get the most benefit from. Went over just a bit today but I still feel very good about how the diet is going. Well, if any one is out there looking for a diet buddy....I'm available. =)

I started my diet on Monday (today is Wednesday) with the idea to just limit my calorie intake to 1200 per day. That seemed reasonable. Then I needed to know how many calories are in a grilled chicken breast and whoala....here I am on this site. I'm confident it will be a good source of support and a good way to track my diet. I tend to have a very difficult time losing weight. Low thyroid, in my 40s, hate to exercise..well, that explains why I am now at my all time...
