Well, I haven't been on here in a long time but I've continued to go to the gym. I haven't used the scale that much because it isn't about the numbers for me, its about the clothes and feeling better about myself. It's the end of the year and time to make new resolutions. I have continued to go to the gym although this holiday time of the year it has been difficult to stay on track, plus I lost about 6 weeks due to having surgery. It is like I'm starting over, I don't have as much energy, ev...

So today I'm still sore.  Went shopping for Easter outfits and I actually found a dress that was a size 8!!!!  I couldn't believe it.  I can't wait until I get down to where I want to be so I can buy new clothes.  My pants are falling off of me and my belt is on its last notch!  I can't believe how far I've come this soon.  I still have a way to go and lately it seems like I've been staying at the same weight for the past couple weeks.  I am hoping us...

I was all set to go to the gym when I got off work today only to find out my husband got called into work and I have two kids to watch.  I wish the gym had childcare but then I guess it would cost more.  I am greatful though that he is getting overtime as we always need the money since the two surgeries last year.  It seems like we get ahead financially for about a week or even a month sometimes only to have something happen the next month.  I am training tomorrow with one of...

Getting Started

Last year my baby boy had unexpected emergency surgery on his lungs.  He was only 15 months old.  He is fine and doing well now.  That was in March.  In May I had surgery of my own for a pain in my side that turned out to be a scared appendix and a twisted cyst.  Having two surgeries in our family in one year made me want to do better for myself and also I needed an escape from reality for a little bit.  That's why I joined the gym in January.  Since then ...
