Ran 6 miles at the Lake today but it was SO hot. I felt like I was running slower than usual but I actually finished it in 2 hours like normal. Last week I was able to finish a LOT quicker but it was also in the afternoon so a lot cooler. I drank a lot of water and when I got home I was stoked to see my new Hydros water bottle in the mail. ran at the lake again today. 6 miles total and increased my speed, which decreased the amount of time it took. I'm feeling a lot better about my pace. Hoping to keep improving. I'm over the hump officially! feelin good.

i ran a 5K today at the gym. I was really proud of myself because I did it without stopping. I feel so amazing that I started running at the gym for 2 minutes and now I can run 50 minutes without stopping. After doing the real life 5K, the gym one is super easy. The only bummer is the blister I have on my foot! It's in the arch and it absolutely will not go away. Afterwards I increased the weights on my arms again and I am def feeling it. Ran for 17 minutes today at the gym and it was easy peasy. We didn't have a lot of time so we moved on to arms and abs. Later today I went to Lake Murray and walked for 40 minutes. It was a beautiful day at the lake. We went grocery shopping at macked down Manwiches for dinner! Not that healthy but YUM.

I am so SO excited that I completed my 5K race with Russ. We had a blast and we ran the entire time. Not sure what our time was but I tried my best and there was a bunch of people that finished after me. I think we did great and It is very rewarding to be a part of such a positive event in SD. Also- we got this super cool medal for finishing. Awesome! Afterwards we walked around and checked out the USS Midway for free. Had a great time but now our legs are killing us and we are exhausted.

Well, it's the Friday before my 5K and Russ and I ran together at Lake Murray. Well we jogged the first 3 miles and then got caught in a rain/hail storm. It was soooo crazy! It lasted a while and we were soaked. We walked the 3 miles back. Afterwards we macked down Pita Pit. So bomb! excited for the running expo tomorrow and then of course the race on sunday. yeah!

I ran around Lake Murray again today (3 miles each way). I jogged the first 3 miles without stopping! woohoo! I started to jog back but took a little break as I hunted down a drinking fountain by the little league field. Once I felt refreshed I jogged the entire way back. I am so proud of my progress. I did a fabulous run around lake murray today. It took me 2 hours just about but I did 6 miles total. I run pretty damn slow but I ran about 85% of the time. I am really proud of my progress and I'm actually excited for my race. I have treatment and meet with my onc tomorrow. Reviewing my results- i'm nervous!

Over this past weekend, Russ and I went on 2 hikes. On saturday we hiked around the lake where we later went fishing. It was fun and it kept my heart rate up. We went in the morning so it wasn't too hot yet. Afterwards we went fishing for a few hours and then BBQed some healthy tuna, brocolli, and bell pepper. Holy crap I have some blisters on my feet. They are in my arch which is so weird. I ran for 15 minutes before my feet wanted to fall off. i walked for 10 minutes and then ran again for 10. PAIN! Trying a different shoe tomorrow (one of my old ones) and hopefully that will help. UGH. why now?
