sautee dry rice in olive oil until it goes from translucent to white

Add onion, sautee a little longer

Add can of tomatoes and about four cups of water

simmer for about 20 minutes, checking to see if it needs more water; add salt to broth, taste

add carrots and green beans, cook for 10 more minutes

check to for doneness, add more water if needed

remove from heat, turn off, and let sit for 10 minutes before serving
