Running has been so hard this week because of the heat and humidity. I plan to do my long run at 6AM tomorrow to try to miss the hotest part of the day. This is the second week for the 9K long run. We progress to 10K next week.

Ran 9k this morning in Wheatfield, NY. Took me 73 minutes. Not my best time by any stretch but felt good to be done! My old Garmin pace watch died during the first km because it doesn't really hold a charge anymore. Really miss the new that was stolen from me last month :( It was much harder to keep an even pace with no watch so I really will have to buy another one soon.

Last June I started distance running for the first time in my life and I completed a half marathon in September then a 10k in November. I've been a bit of a couch potato since then but hope to run another half marathon this October. I've started out slowly again - for the last 2 weeks my long run was 7k and tomorrow I will increases to a 9k long slow distance. Wish me luck!
