I didn't feel like doing the usual workout at the gym today so I decided to check out the Zumba class. There weren't a whole lot of people in there today. Rats! no one to hide behind. I had more fun than I expected that I would have and I wasn't out of breath one time. I don't know if I will continue with this or not but it was fun for today. Now if I can just keep my food intake under control today I can see the results tomorrow. I'm down almost 7 pounds today! I want to continue this tr...

Boy, it's funny how a little number on a scale can make or break my day. I've been on track this week so far and I have seen the scale go down. I haven't been keeping my diet low carb at all. I have eaten dairy, nuts, pasta and a variety of fruits. I just keep my calories at 1200 per day and try to limit sugar and salt intake. It is all about portion control for me and I have been weighing everything going in my mouth. I happy this week and look forward to the scale continuing to go down.

That number is sometimes the key to whether I will stay on track as far as calorie intake. The only shining spot to this whole episode is that I take my dog for a walk everyday now. I don't know how I can keep a commitment to her to be walked everyday but I can't keep a commitment to eat only 1200 calorie...

I wish that I could say that I feel energized and different this time. I started a new doctor supervised program last September that caused me to lose 50 pounds. At first I was really optimistic because for the first time in a long time I saw the weight coming off. It was really hard to do the program and it lasted for 6 weeks. The results were dramatic! Well, needless to say I got cocky in this initial weightloss and started to think that I did this and I can continue to do this in my own way ...
