Playing catchup

Every evening I sit and plan my dinner around the amount and types of calories I still need to eat to finish the day, and everyday I wind up trying to find a ton of protein, calcium, and fiber because it seems I never get enough. :P

 I'm not really sure what I could do besides throw another can of tuna in my lunch and drink more milk... but the milk adds carbs which I do not need, and the tuna is a bit expensive. As to the fiber I really am a bit frust...

Woot! Weightloss back on track!

I wasn't eating enough!!! I knew that this could be an issue, but I didn't think it was an issue for me...

Ok starting over. The site says I need 2050 calories. I thought that was the "to not gain weight" number... not the diet number. I'd read that the minimum amount of calories you should eat is 1200, so that is what I was doing.... wrong~! Apparently for my weight and what with working out and doing weights, 2050 is the calories I should ...

A little bummed, but trying not to be.

The scale has gone up again... it hasn't gone down in 2 weeks, instead I've gained 2 lbs! I understand that is more than likely muscle gained which is a positive because thats 2lbs worth of calorie burning muscle to add to my metabolism... but with all the working out and eating sooo much healthier and tracking every single calorie and carb etc etc, and my newly created muscles.... why am I not losing anything?!? I stepped up my workout and went bac...

So just a couple of minutes ago, I was sitting here filling in my food log for the day, when I had an itch around the area between my neck and shoulder. So apparently the weights I've been using are entirely too light for me! I happened to mention to one of the trainers at the Y that I was surprised that I am rarely sore after I work out... Apparently I should be! At least a little.  So I got an impromptu lesson in choosing the proper weight setting...

Down but not out!

So I was down for a whole week because I hit my head and suffered a "mild head injury resulting in what may be a mild concussion". It really wasn't that bad but I was told no intensive physical activity for a week. :( 

An interesting thing happened though during the week... apparently my body has gotten used to my workout... Not only in terms of it being time to step it up a bit but also my mood tended to be on the grumpy/depressed side all week! ...

Stalled by the weekend!

Been doing great with my diet and workout everyday. Lost another lb which made my day! Kindof stalled by the weekend, we (hubby and I) did our strength workout but he wrenched his back and so we didn't get to do the cardio. :( Thinking I might do the tv routine this evening to make up for it. Since Sunday is our "day off" from excersize I'd have gone 2 days without the cardio by the time I can go again and I am just sure I'd be back to 2.5 on the treadmill! I hate moving...

2 weeks in and 7lbs lost!

Overall I hope to lose 100lbs. With a starting weight of 264 I hope to get down to around 150 - 160lbs. So far I am doing 30 min on the treadmill, starting with 0% incline and 2.7 speed daily 6 days a week.  We intend to strart consistantly using the weights, (light for me of course) and once or twice a week I have been taking a class with my sister in addition to the treadmill.

I also lowered my calories quite a bit to around 1500 but I've been ...
