I weighed myself yesterday and it looks like I haven't lost any weight since last week. I'm not too let down by that though, because I feel a lot better already. I can tell that I have more energy and I'm happier with just twelve days of exercise. This may be moslty because I'm giving myself kudos for doing it at all. I'm not really concerned with rapid weightloss, I think the weight will come off eventually if I stay active.

On Saturday I played basketball for an hour. That was fun even though I played alone. I just like being out and shooting and doing a few drills. However, I wasn't able to do to many drills given how out of shape I am! I didn't really realize it until I was doing things that I could normally do with ease. I also slipped when running after the ball and I have a huge bruise that goes from the middle of my shin and does a c curve around to my knee. It is very swollen and painful but nothing I can't ...

Day 5 now and I am going strong. I'm also very sore. But, I kind of like the feeling. It reminds me of when I was a basketball player coming back from having the summer off. They'd virtually kill us in drills and I'd barely be able to walk for a while. Ofcourse, I'm not nearly as sore now but I'm definitley feeling it and it feels good.

So, I did my walk on Day three and some yoga both in the morning, but then I also walked to and from Sangha which totalled 4 miles. I am definitley sore. But, feeling good. I've decided to keep a hand written journal of my exercise so that I don't need to blog everyday, though I do love it! Today I am going to do some yoga this morning and also the workout video.

So the Jillian Micheal's workout tape was excellent. Given how hot it is outside the workout video seems to be the best idea. I rearranged my living room this past weekend, so I have more room for exercise and meditation. After my workout I did about 30minutes of sitting meditation. I think that this helps the whole process because it is just part of my health (albeit spiritual health). I think all aspects of health are connected, so it's good to take care of all of them since I can make the tim...

Weightloss and fun? Sounds like an oxymoron, right? Well, I'm going to try to stay as positive and happy as possible about it. I weigh more now than I ever have, which is what it is. I'm not going to let that make me sad. I'm just going to start exercising 30 minutes a day and see if I can lose some weight. And maybe have some fun with it too.
